Set marker symbol

Marker symbols on a chart are used to mark plotted data points. Charts lets you choose between several marker symbols and set custom Symbol size. Marker symbol is applicable only to certain chart types: Line, Spline, Step, all Area charts, Master/Details charts (except Column), Scatter, Scatter Line, and Dual Axis.

Marker symbols settings in the General section are applied to all series, but you can set them for each series individually. Symbol size can be set only in the General section.

General settings

1. In the upper-right corner, click EDIT.

2. Click Data Series to expand the section.

3. Select the General tab.

4. Next to Marker symbol, click to open the dropdown menu.

5. Select the marker symbol that works best for your chart.

6. Use the slider to set the Symbol size.

Individual series settings

1. In the upper-right corner, click EDIT.

2. Click Data Series to expand the section.

3. Open the Series tab, and click a series to expand it.

4. Next to Marker symbol, click to open the dropdown menu.

5. Select the marker symbol that works best for your chart.
