Add annotations
Writing a title and introduction isn't always enough to explain the chart to your readers but you can highlight the most important information on the chart using annotations. This helps guide readers through the chart and tells them what exactly to pay attention to.
To add annotations:

In the upper-right corner, click EDIT.

Click Annotations to expand it.
Free form

Click Add point annotation [icon].

Click anywhere on the chart to add the point annotation.

Type in the Annotation label.
Annotation labels can be formatted using the bold and italic options at the top of the popup window.

Customize the label color and size, background color, and border and connector lines.

Click DONE.
Custom labels
-
Click Add Custom label
.
-
Hover the value on the chart and click to add the custom label.

Type in the Annotation label.
Annotation labels can be formatted using the bold and italic options at the top of the popup window.

Choose text position from dropdown menu.

Click DONE.
Horizontal range
-
Click Add horizontal range
.
-
Click and drag on the chart where you want to add horizontal range.

Type in the Annotation label.
Annotation labels can be formatted using the bold and italic options at the top of the popup window.

Choose the label position from the dropdown menu.

Click the color indicator to change color.

Set From – To range.
-
Click DONE.
Vertical range
-
Click Add vertical range
.

In the chart, click and drag where you want to add vertical range.

Type in the Annotation label.

Choose the label position from the dropdown menu.

Click the color indicator to change color.

Set From – To range.
-
Click DONE.
Horizontal line

Click Add horizontal line

In the chart, click where you want to add a horizontal line.

Type in the Annotation label.
Annotation labels can be formatted using the bold and italic options at the top of the popup window.

Choose the label position from the dropdown menu.

Click on the color indicator to change color.

Choose line style from the dropdown menu.

Set line position.

Click DONE.
Vertical line
-
Click Add vertical line
.

In the chart, click where you want to add a vertical line.

Type in the Annotation label.

Choose line style from the dropdown menu.
